教学内容:

教学对象:
1.词汇基础:表示颜色、玩具、学校设施、家庭设施的单词等。
2.句型基础:学生们已经掌握了一些简单的句型,如:What’s this? It’s a …
What colour is it? It’s… How many … can you see? I can see … ect。
3.情感基础:学生们经过半年多的外语学习,在已经掌握一些知识的基础上,对英语学习有着极大的热情,有着强烈的与人交流的意愿。
教学任务
教学目标:
1.知识目标:
1)复习前一个单元所学的有关玩具名称的基础上,由这些玩具的形状导入学习有关形状的单词square, circle, triangle, rectangle, shapes
2) 询问物品形状的新句型:A:What shape is it ? B: It’s a … .
4.能力目标:
能够在相应情景下使用本课句型及已知句型,与人互相询问物品及物品的颜色和形状,培养学生的综合交际能力。
5.情感目标:
激发学生学习英语的兴趣,帮助学生树立学好英语的信心,增强学生的参与意识,引导学生积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务,并在成功中体会英语学习中的乐趣。
6.德育目标:能够在学习本课的知识的同时,培养孩子动手能力,及观察具体物品。
教学重点:
1.学习有关形状的新单词,学习询问物品形状的句型。
2.培养学生的动手能力、口语表达能力和综合交际能力。
教学难点:
1.本课有关形状的生词比较多,且发音不太好掌握,特别是triangle 和 rectangle
两个词孩子比较容易混淆。
2.新句型:What shape is it? It’s a… 。
教具准备:
1.本课所教单词的图片和单词卡片
2.各种图形的彩色卡片若干张
3. 4根等长的小棒,一张正方形的彩色纸,两张三角形的彩色纸
4.自制课件及教学软件
教学过程:
一、Warming up:
1. Sing the song “ Toy train”
2. Review the words: Look at the teacher’s action and say the words of toys as quikly as you can.
通过边做动作边唱歌、小组竞赛形式猜单词,既复习了前一单元所学的玩具单词为下一步新知的导入做准备,又集中了孩子的注意力,为外语课的学习做好热身。
二、Introduction
Step 1 Show 3 pictures of the toys. Ask and answer
“What’s this?” T: What’s this?
Step 2 The teacher introduce the topic of this unit: shapes.
T: Look at these toys, they are made of shapes.
Today we will learn Unit 13 Shapes.
Step 3 Teach the new word “shape”
由于学生刚刚学习完表示玩具的单词且已很好地掌握了What’s this?句型,因而透过free talk通过已有的旧知来导入新单元的话题shapes形状
三、Presentation:
Step 1 Show 4 sticks, then use them to make a square.
Teach the word “square”
T: Look, I have 4 sticks. I’ll use them to make a shape for you.
What shape is it? Can you tell me its Chinese name?
S: 正方形
T: You’re right. It’s English name is “square”. Let the students look at the word and learn to say this word.
Step 2 Show a picture of Tiananmen Squrae.
T: Square means 正方形,but it has another meaning. Look at this picture, where is it?
S: 天安门广场
T: Yes. It’s Tiananmen Square . Here square has another meaning “广场”. This is another picture of Tiananmen Square . We can see it from the sky. What shape is it?
Ss: It’s a square. T: Tiananmen Square is in Beijing . It’s very big
and beautiful. Is there a square in Changchun? Of course. Look, this is Ren min Square. Show another picture of Renmin Square .
T: Look at this picture. What shape is it? Is it a square? Ss: NO.
T: So clever. It's not a square. It’s a circle. Teach the new word “circle”.
Step 3 Ask and answer, present the new drill
T:Look at this paper. What shape is it? It’s a circle. Bb: What shape is it?
Bb: It’s a circle. Show some things and ask about their shapes. Teach and exercise the new drill.
Step 4 Show a piece of paper and ask its shape.
T: Look at this paper. What shape is it? Ss: It’s a square.
Fold the paper. Ask the students about the shape.
T: Look at this paper carefully. What shape is it now? Ss: 三角形
T: Yes. It’s a triangle. Let the students look at the word and learn to say it.
Step 5 Use two triangles to make a rectangle.
T: Look, what shape is it? Ss: It’s a triangle.
T: I have two triangles. I’ll use them to make another shape. Who can tell me what the shape is? Ss: 长方形 T: It’s a rectangle. pare the word triangle, teach the word rectangle.
通过不同的方式导入新知,牢牢吸引孩子的注意力。在好奇心的驱使下,孩子们对所学知识更有兴趣,更乐意主动地去学习。由已学过的两个图形,配合其它包含该图形的有趣儿的图片,导入新的句型What shape is it?不是去生硬的教知识,而是在孩子有交流的需要时,很自然的呈现新句型。正所谓“不愤不悱,不启不发”。
四、 Practice
1. Memory game. T: Now, let’s play a memory game. Look at this shapes carefully. Please tell me what shape is the No. 1/2/3 /4?
【活动说明】由于本课所学的表示形状的单词识记起来有一定困难,因而它既是本课的重点,又是本课的难点。所以我运用了多种活动操练这些词。本部分是简单的单词识记操练。
2. Use the finger to make shapes.
T: Put up your hands. Show me your fingers. Let’s make a square/ circle/ triangle/rectangle.
【活动说明】通过用手指做图形边做边说,既增加了学习的趣味性,又为下一步做动作学说歌谣做准备。
3. Learn a chant
T: Look, I am Square. Hello boys and girls. Ss: Hello, Square.
T: I am Circle. Hello boys and girls. Ss: Hello Circle .
T: This time who wants to be Rectangle? S1: Hello.
Ss: Hello Rectangle. T: I am Square. Who wants to be Circle? Hello Circle.
S1: Hello Square. T: Square and circle say hello. Square and circle here we go. ( Do the action “go together”)
Bb: Square and circle say hello.
Square and circle here we go. Teach the phrase “here we go”.
Listen to the chant, do the action. Let the students do the action and say the chant.
【活动说明】通过朗朗上口的韵律歌谣帮助孩子识记四个形状单词。配合动作增加记忆的效率。
4. Find the shape around us.
T: Now,let’s play a game. Please find the shape around us. Look at the blackboard.What shape is it? Ss: It’s a rectangle. T: Well done. So youcan point to the blackboard and say “It’s a rectangle.”
【活动说明】本部分依然是一个识记单词的操练活动,但是比前一个活动又增加了一定的难度和趣味性。从简单的看图形说单词,到观察事物找出图形,再到用句子表达出来。
5. Listen and colour. T: Look at the picture. What can you see? Ss: I can see a tree/ house/ car… T: Take out your colour pens, let’s colour the shapes. Colour the triangles green. Colour the…
【活动说明】在前两个活动强化了新知的基础上,完成本部分的听音练习。由于前面的游戏活动都是竞争性的,我一直在放手让学生自己去说,是不断地表达的动的过程。所以这个活动我设计了听音涂色,孩子在听英语的过程中又加入了动手画,既能通过不断变换活动形式让学生持续地保持注意力,有做到学习的张弛有度,不让学生感到疲倦。
6. Do a survey.
T: Now, I will give you a survey sheet. Please use the question “What’s your favorite shape?”to ask about your friends’ favorite shape and then fill in the sheet.
【活动说明】学习一种语言最重要的目的就是用它来与人交流,因而口语上的表达尤为重要。本部分就是这样一个口语交流的练习。依托所给的调查表学生通过询问他人以及回答他人的询问,套用已会的句型What's your favorit …?操练本课的新单词,从而满足学生使用英语与人的交流的需求。在交流的基础上,我们又鼓励孩子将调查结果填写在调查表中。显然孩子在记录时会遇到单词拼写的困难,我们可以让孩子画出图形完成此处的练习。由于课堂上的时间有限,我们允许没有做完的孩子回家完成。

【活动说明】最后,带领学生总结本课的教学内容。从而帮助孩子了解本课的重点、难点,查缺补漏。

课后反思:
小学英语课是活动课,每一个教学步骤都是一个活动,整节课就是由各种不同的活动组成的“活动包”。本课设计根据《小学英语课程教学基本要求》和学生已有的知识水平,结合孩子们好动、好玩、有强烈好胜心和好奇心的心理特点,注意了教学活动的多样性、趣味性、新颖性和竞争性,使活动面向全体,让每个学生都动起来,融入教学实践活动之中。这节课以歌曲开始、以形象生动的电脑动画演示新词汇,以游戏操练新知,以调查表格的任务型活动强化学生语言交际能力的培养,让学生动口、动手、动耳、动眼、动脑,使学生在说说、唱唱、做做、听听、读读、玩玩中体验学习乐趣。
然而正如教育家夸美纽斯所言:教学是一种艺术。既然是艺术不免会有这样那样的遗憾。本课的教学设计只是一个教学过程的大体思路,其中有的活动并不一定能在教学中收到最佳效果,需要在教学实践中加以改进。各个教学环节的衔接还有待进一步在实际的教学过程中加以调整,从而适应不同学习程度学生的需要。另外,某些活动的说明性语言还不够简练,在实际教学过程中,可以借助肢体语言等的帮助,运用更简练的语言解释活动要求,我将在以后的教学中加以改进。
