2.with的复合结构作状语

讲:请见下面教材原句:

But I want to tell the reader that these hills and fields are almost beautiful,with many small and clear rivers,and rich fields bearing fruit and grain.

但我想告诉读者的是:这些山丘和旷野非常美丽,其间流淌着清澈的小河,遍布着生长水果和粮食的肥沃田园。

讲:注意本句话的句子结构,with+n.+v.-ing为with的复合结构形式,其中v.-ing作宾补,和宾语之间为逻辑主谓关系。

例:He sat in the chair,with a glass of beer in his hand.

他坐在椅子上,手里拿着一杯啤酒。

He likes sleeping with the windows open/closed.

他喜欢开着(关着)窗子睡觉。

He lay on the ground,with both of his hands tied.

他躺在地上,两只手都被捆着。

We got there easily,with him showing us the way.

有他给我们指路,我们很容易地到达那里。

We could see nothing in the dark with all the lights off.

所有的灯都灭了,我们在黑暗中什么也看不到。

宾补的形式有:介词短语,形容词, 过去分词,现在分词,不定式,副词等。注意过去分词表示被动(宾语和宾补之间存在逻辑动宾关系),v.-ing形式表示主动(宾语和宾补之间存在逻辑主谓关系)。
