Arthur Miller (1915―2005) is universally recognized as one of the greatest dramatists of the 20th century. In Willy Loman, the hero of the play, we see a man who has got into trouble with this system. Willy is “burnt out” and in the cruel world of business there is no room for sentiment(感情,情绪) if he can't do the work, then he is no good to his employer, the Wagner pany, and he must go. Willy is painfully aware of this, and at a loss as to what to do with his lack of suess. He refuses to face the fact that he has failed and kills himself in the end.
When it was first staged in 1949, the play was greeted with enthusiastic reviews, and it won the Tony Award for Best Play, the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award, and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It was the first play to win all three of these major awards.

Most people who enjoy movies do not really care how they are made. They just want to enjoy a good story. Movie producer and director Gee Lucas wants people to see the best made movies. So, his latest movie Star Wars was made without using film.
Star Wars was made using digital cameras. A digital camera does not use traditional film. It captures images on videotape. The images recorded on videotape are the placed in a puter.
Gee Lucas says that using digital cameras permits him to have much more control over the final product. For example, the image can be changed after it is placed in a puter. An expert can change color, add or take out objects, add people or beings who are not real. Much of what is seen in the new movie Star Wars is not real. Huge buildings, spacecraft and alien beings from other worlds were produced in a puter.
Movie experts say digital technology is the real future of the motion picture industry. A theater will no longer have to wait days or weeks to show a new movie. Theaters will be able to receive copies of new movies by linking puters. Or they will use small puter disks to get a copy of the movie.
When the new movie Star Wars was released last month, only 94 theaters around the world had the digital equipment needed to show it. So Mr. Lucas’ pany produced about 6,000 copies of the new digital movie on traditional film for release in most theaters. However, most people who have seen the movie say these film copies are of much better quality than other filmed movies.
Critics say the new digital technology is very costly. Many theater owners will not buy the new technology, yet many of the people who worked on the new movie Star Wars say they would not like to work with film again. They said using digital equipment was faster, and videotape is much less costly than film. One cameraman said the director of a movie can immediately see what was just recorded, something impossible to do with film.

Getting rid of dirt, in the opinion of most people, is a good thing. However, there is nothing fixed about attitudes to dirt.
In the early 16th century, people thought that dirt on the skin was a means to block out disease, as medical opinion had it that washing off dirt with hot water could open up the skin and let ills in. A particular danger was thought to lie in public baths. By 1538, the French king had closed the bath houses in his kingdom. So did the king of England in 1546. Thus began a long time when the rich and the poor in Europe lived with dirt in a friendly way. Henry IV, King of France, was famously dirty. Upon learning that a nobleman had taken a bath, the king ordered that, to avoid the attack of disease, the nobleman should not go out.
Though the belief in the merit (优点) of dirt was long-lived, dirt has no longer been regarded as a nice neighbor ever since the 18th century. Scientifically speaking, cleaning away dirt is good to health. Clean water supply and hand washing are practical means of preventing disease. Yet, it seems that standards of cleanliness have moved beyond science since World War II. Advertisements repeatedly sell the idea clothes need to be whiter than white, cloths ever softer, surfaces to shine. Has the hate for dirt, however, gone too far?
Attitudes to dirt still differ hugely nowadays. Many first-time parents nervously try to warn their children off touching dirt, which might be responsible for the spread of disease. On the contrary, Mary Ruebush, an American immunologist (免疫学家), encourages children to play in the dirt to build up a strong immune system. And the latter position is gaining some ground.

62.What is the author's purpose in writing the passage?
A.To stress the role of dirt. B.To introduce the history of dirt.

May 31st, No Smoking Day, is drawing near .. On that day, nobody is allowed to smoke, because smoking is polluting the air, also it’s harmful to people’s health and will cause lung cancer. On the other hand, it is a waste of money.
Today more and more people care for the problem of smoking. Considering the health of people themseves and the one they care, many smokers try their best to give up smoking. When quiting smoking, I have some suggestions. First of all, people should have strong will on giving up smoking. Personal determination is the most important factor. When feeling eager to smoke, people should think about the damage of smoking and the people they love. And then they can strengthen their will not to smoke. Secondly, sweep away all the cigarette around. They can’t find any cigarette when they want to smoke. And then after a while, their wants for smoke will reduce gradually. Last but not least, prepare some candies in the pocket, when people want to smoke, eat candies instead.
Hope every smoker sueed in the end.
