T:We have divided all the class into three groups. One group likes breakfast, the other two like lunch and dinner. But what do you like for your three meals?
(S how a picture of three dinners.)
T:I have three meal plates. What do you want to put on it?
Let’s talk about it. Try to find the food what your group like most and tell us the reason.
(When each group is talking about it, the teacher goes around among the students and helps them if they need. Then ask each group to report.)
S:In our group, we like breakfast best. We all like oranges, eggs, milk and an apple.Because the y are good for our health, we choose them.
(When the student is saying, the teacher puts the food onto the plate for breakfast.)
(Do it for lunch and dinner in the same way.)
T:Look at 1a, and write the number in the box next to the correct food.
(Then the students finish off 1a.)
T:How many other food words can you add to the chart?
Try to wr ite them down in the chart.

(The students write them down as soon as possible and then read them. See who will add most.)
Step Four: Practice the listening.
T: Look! There are so many foods. Maybe they are very delicious. Which food do you like? Do you like apples? (Show the picture.)
S1: …
T: How about chicken? Do you like it ?
S1: …
T: Can you guess what food I like?
S1: Do you like…?
T: No, I don’t.
S2: Do you like…?
S3: Do you like…?
T: Yes, you are right. I think you are very lucky. But I have two friends. They are Sandra and Tom. Do you know what food they like? Now, let’s listen and find out the food you hear.
(Play the recording 2a in Section B. The students find out each food mentioned in the conversation on the recording. Then c heck the answers.)
T: Now open your books and listen again. Fill in the chart.
(Play the recording the first time. Students listen to the conversation and write in the answers on their charts. Play the recording the second time and then the students can check their answers to be sure they are correct.)
T: Does Sandra like salad?
S: Yes, she does.
T: Work in pairs about the chart.
Step Five: Task.
Go on a piic with a group of friends and make a list of food to buy.
① Divide the students into six groups.
②Talk about what the students in your group like and dislike and make a list.
③The leader in each group reports to the cl ass.
Step Six: Summary and homework.
Make a survey about “What do your parents like for three meals?” after class.

Teaching aims and language points:
1. Learn t hese words and be able to say, read and write these words:

2. Be able to talk about likes and dislikes by using:

3. Perceive the Countable nouns and Uncountable Nouns.

1.warning-up and revision (课堂热身和复习)
(1)Daily greeting to the students(日常问候)
(2)Revisio n(复习):What’s this/that in English?
What color is it?
T: What’s this in English? (showing a picture of orange )
S: It’s an orange.
T: What color is it?
S: It’s orange.
2. Presentation (呈现新知识)
(1) Go on asking: What’s this/that in English?
What color is it?
T: What’s this in English? (showing a picture of an/a apple and if the student don’t know, show the phoic symbol of the word.)
S: It’s an apple.
T: Spell it, please.
S: A- P-P-L-E.
T: What color is it?
S: It’s red.
(Present the other three words like the above: pear, strawberry, banana)
T: We can call all of these things fruit.(Teach the new word fruit.)
Show the pictures and ask the Ss to spell the plural forms of these words: oranges, apples, pears, strawberries, bananas.
(2) Get the Ss to talk about their likes and dislikes in pairs and then in groups, by using the sentences:
I like … (and …). But I don’t like … (or …).
We/They like … We/They don’t like
(3) Repeat step (1) to present carrot, carrots, to mato, tomatoes and vegetable, vegatables.
(4) Get the Ss to ask and answer in pairs, using the sentences:
Do you like …(s/es)?
Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
(5) Present some more words by showing pict ures. Get the Ss to make an effort to pronounce and spell the new words by the phoic symbols.
Ask the Ss to guess if the girl and the boy on the picture
like the things shown on the screen. Then get them to ask and answer in pairs like:
Does she/he like…?
Yes, she/he does. / No, she/he doesn’t.
3. Practise(练习)
(1) 1a. Match the words with the pictures
(2) 1b. Listen and number the conversations.
(3) 1c. First, practice the conversations in 1b.
Then, make a survey and fill in the chart below.

(4) 2a. Listen and circle the food you hear
(5) 2b. Listen and fill in the blanks.
4. Pairwork (结对练习)
Ask the students to imagin e they are having lunch with one of their friends. Practice the conversations in 2b. Give answers that are true for them.
5. Homework(家庭作业)

(2)Write a report aording to the survey.
