Mr.Wu,youmayalreadyknowthattheDirectorsofthepanywillsoonhavefinishedthereanizationofthebusinessandthatthiswillresultinadecreaseinstaff.Iamverysorrytoinformyouthatyourpositionisohatwillshortlybeeredundant,andthatyouserviceswillnotcontinueaftertheendofthismonth.

Wehavenocauseofplaintagainstyou,onthecontrary,wearequitesatisfiedwithyourservicesduringthethreeyears.Thereductionofstaffisentirelyduetobusinessdoldrums.Youwillofcoursebeentitledtoaredundancypayment.Inyourcaseyouwillbegivenonemonth'ssalaryforeveryyearofservicewiththepany.Besides,weshallbepleasedtoprovideanyprospectiveemployerwithatestimonialofyourcharacterandability.
