1. Ask Ss to choose the best answers.

2. Make a sentence with two parts.

Step 1

Free talk.

Show Ss some pictures about books/movies/band... and ask them to talk about their favorite book.

E.g.:

A: I like books that ... I love …

B: Oh, I don’t. I like books that …

Step 2

Activity 1a-1.

Fill in the chart. Write names of your favorite band, book, and movie.

Step 3

Activity 1a-2.

Let Ss describe the picture.

Step 4

Activity 1b.

Listen and write down the three things that Michael likes in the first column of the chart.

Step 5

Activity 1c.

Listen again. Write why Michael likes each thing in the second column of the chart.
