e back to school. The end of your Spring Festival holidays means starting a new term. The past is history. Let’s look back upon the past. What about the holidays? Yes we all ate a lot of delicious food. Then are the junk food or healthy food ?
Junk food: high in calories but low in nutritional content. It’s sth enjoyable but of little teal value.
Step II Looking and speaking.
Look at the photos on Page 1 and decide if the food is junk food or healthy food and why?

Doctor: Hi, Mike . Hi, Mrs Peterson. How are you?
Mum: I’m fine, thanks. But Mike has a stomachache. He ate too much today. All junk food.
Doctor: Well, let’s take a look. e here, Mike. Where does it hurt?

We can get nutrition not only from our main meal, but also from the snacks we eat now and then. So we should healthy snakes. What snakes do you usually have? Do you think they are healthy? Let’s read the text Snacks, and know more about healthy snacks.

An example: Crispy Beef Roll
Ingredients:
300grams ground beef
350 grams bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 grams MSG
2 grams salt
10 grams cooking wine
5 grams finely cut scallions
5 grams chopped ginger
10 grams dry cornstarch
300 grams cooking oil
Directions:
1 Add to the ground beef the salt, MSG, cooking wine, scallions, ginger and 5 g of the dry cornstarch, and mix well until it bees sticky.
2 Whip the eggs in a bowl.
3 Divide the ground beef into 3 portions and shape into long rolls 5cm in diameter and 15cm in length. Steam over strong fire for 10 minutes. When the rolls cool off, over them with the whipped egg and bread crumbs.
4 Heat the oil in a wok to 110-135ºC and deep fry the beef rolls until they are a golden color. Drain off the oil..
5 Cut in a slanting way to divide the rolls into sections 3cm long each. Put on a plate and serve.

Taste: Crispy outside and tender inside, the rolls are really delicious.
