Teaching aims: 1 Ss can listen, say, read and write the following sentences: How was your weekend? It was … What did you do? I …, and can use them in real life.

2 Ss can ask and answer the following sentences: Did you do anything else? Yes, I cleaned my room and washed my clothes.

3 Ss can listen and understand “Let’s try” and do the exercises.

4 Ss can listen and understand “Let’s talk” and try to act it out.

Focus points: 1 Ss can listen, say and read the following sentences: How was your weekend? It was … What did you do? I …, and can use them in real life.

2 Ss can ask and answer the following sentences: Did you do anything else? Yes, I cleaned my room and washed my clothes.

Difficult points: Ss can talk about last weekend by using the simple past tense.

Teaching aids: pictures, PPT, tape-recorder

Teaching procedures:

1 Warm-up

(1) Ss enjoy “Last weekend”.

(2) Ss chant.

(3) Free talk

T: What day is it today?

Ss: It’s … today.

T: What do you usually do on …?

T: What other things do you usually do on …?

2 Presentation

(1) T: What do you usually do on the weekend?

S2: I usually ….

S3: I usually ….

(2) T: Today is Wednesday, March 18th, this Saturday and Sunday, we call “this weekend”. Last Saturday and Sunday, we call “last weekend”. March 9th to 14th, we call “last week”.

(3) T: How was your weekend?

T teaches” It was good/fine/great/OK”, “It wasn't very good”.

(4) Pair-work

A: How was your weekend?

B: It was _____.

(5) T: What did you do last weekend? First let’s see our friends, what did they do last weekend.

T shows some pictures.

Ss: What did you do?

T teaches “watched TV, washed my clothes, cleaned my room, stayed at home, drank water ”

(6)T: I have a new friend, her name is Lily, Let’s see her last weekend.

T shows the dialogue between T and Lily.

T: How was her last weekend? What did she do last week?

Instructions:

歌曲歌谣导入，活跃课堂气氛，并为接下来的教学作铺垫。

对话，拉近师生距离，并复习学过的动词。

复习已学动词。

用日历引出last weekend，一目了然。

T先和学生示范，再让学生操练对话，巩固新授知识。

接上一环节，自然引出新句型。

用图片引出本课的四会单词，由一般现在时过渡到一般过去时，降低难度。并提醒学生“-ed”的不同发音。

由T和Lily的对话来巩固新学的动词短语和句型。

学生操练新句型及动词短语的过去式。

听—理解—跟读—表演，循序渐进，符合学生的认知规律。

Add-activities

1 Listen and read P.14 for 6 times.

2 Copy the four-skilled sentences for 3 times.

3 Ask your friends “What did you do last weekend？”
