春节，也叫作中国新年，有着超过4000多年的历史。与其他的节日不同，春节是一个时间段，而不是指单独某一天。它是从一月的第一天一直到十五日，当然是按照中国的农历。但是人们通常都从大年初一前一天就开始庆祝春节，这一天也叫除夕，一大家人会团聚起来，吃个大餐（我们中国人管它叫年夜饭），看春晚，沉浸在家人团聚的特殊温馨的氛围之中。
春节里有很多的活动，其中至少有三样事情值得你关注。首先，当新年的第一次钟声响起，一个辞旧迎新的时刻到来了，大人和小孩都会到室外去放鞭炮，放烟花，把整个天空装扮成了一个五彩缤纷的大舞台。
然后，在大年初一的早上，人们都很早起来贴春联。春联上写满了吉祥的话语。同时，春联的红色也为这个绚丽的节日增添了不少的欢乐。
还有，从年初一开始我们都要挨家挨户去拜访亲戚，一直到元宵节。元宵节的到来就意味着春节的结束。
